Insidious Design 101 | New Pilot Guide

Welcome pilot, if you are reading this then you are considering Insidious Design as a possible home. We are friendly and loyal to the people we trust and deadly to the people we do not. Once you have earned our trust you will prosper in Insidious Design. We have a large range of experience in Eve and are willing to share with all our corporation members and we would expect the same from you.

Insidious is not an industrial corporation but like all WH corporations we do enjoy making isk and there is plenty of opportunity to do exactly that. Insidious does have the infrastructure to meet those needs but our main focus is on WH PVP and the occasional 00 PVP.

We do not accept alts that want to join to boost their mains wallets. You must join with your main and we expect your focus to be on making Insidious a better and stronger corporation. You must have a minimum of 10 mil skill points and an ability to work well with others.

If you are arrogant and know more than anyone else and enjoy making comments stating those facts, then Insidious does not want you. Any selfish behavior, name calling or general abuse will not be tolerated. Anyone displaying these characteristics will be asked to leave immediately.

We will need your full api and user number to proceed with the application process.

Once approved
In order to ease your first weeks here, your leadership has come up with this guide, as well as answers to some of the most frequently asked questions new members have on entry to the corp.

Your First Days in Insidious Design
Patience is a key skill to have in WH space and that is one of only a few 'common sense'
expectations we have of our members, patience, patience, patience.

After you join you will certainly face the initial challenge of getting your beloved ships and mods into your new home, please remember patience is a key skill if you are getting frustrated. Typical turn around after your application has been accepted is 48 hours, but depending on how ready you are, you could be in home within a few hours time.

When you are assigned a corporate hangar division, a bookmark with your name will be created and placed into your assigned division and a mail will be sent as to it's location. Do not remove the bookmark.
---------------------------------------------------
Siggy
We have our own license on a signature tracking program and you will be given access to this upon your acceptance and someone will be happy to guide you through it. This is how we keep track of the signatures and wormholes within a system we have scanned.

This makes it possible after someone has scanned and labeled the sigs for the next pilot that comes into that system to know what is there. You do not have to scan everything down to 100%, just far enough so you know what is there, ladar, grav. etc.. You are required to scan WH's to 100% and place those BM's in the corporation folder.

---------------------------------------------------

Team Speak
This information will be given to you when you are accepted. It is mandatory that you are on if you in the WH or traveling the chain.

Be on Teamspeak 3 and on-line ready to roll. If you are AFK use the AFK channel. This is a requirement and you must be connected to receive information in a timely manner. It may very well save you from losing a new shinny ship and your implants.

Never enter  teamspeak and start blabbing off about whatever, until you are certain the current group is NOT in PVP or running an ops.

Check the corporation bulletin board through the corp NEOCOM window in game. It will have valuable information on many topics.

Join fleet upon logging in, this will give you an idea of what is currently going on. The fleet should be advertised, join and speak up in fleet chat with your ship type and current location if the current endeavor is PVP. (i.e. “x drake 1pt 1web in Home RDY”).
-------------------------------------------------

Bookmarks
We share bookmarks in the corporation folder so that all members within REDRUM can have access to all of the days previously scanned WH systems.

If you need bookmarks, ask in teamspeak or in fleet chat if the current set is not up to date.

If you are a scout scanning down systems, then be sure to add those bookmarks to the corporation folder.

As soon as one person fails to do this, the whole system breaks down, so don't be “that guy”. If you need to learn how to copy and move bookmarks anyone should be able to walk you through this.

The basic “in home” bookmarks to towers and other locations of interest will be provided when you first get into our home system.
 -------------------------------------------------

Excluding members from PVP or PVE operations for any reason will not be tolerated. Your Leadership may from time to time assign task groups, or form attack groups with different objectives. But will NEVER exclude anyone who wants to participate.
-------------------------------------------------
Insidious Design collects a 25 million isk membership fee per month per character charge to pay for fuel and associated cost with maintaing the infrastructure.

Insidious does allow for a trusted member that hauls and sells the loot 3% off the top. This is an incentive so everyone gets paid in a timely manner.
-----------------------------------------------
How do I make ISK?

Gas harvesting the top tier Ladar sites in C5 and C6 wormholes is by far the most lucrative when it comes to ISK per Character per Hour. Some members within the corporation will  buy gas right in the home system taking much of the logistical burden off of its members. It is recommended you train gas harvesting 5 to as many characters you have in the home system.

Gas minining and Grav sites are considered a solo endevour. In instramentals and vitals you will need help to take the battleships out and you can share the loot from those battleships with the people that helped you eliminate them.

It is our policy that you keep what you mine or harvset. So it is beneficial for you if you have more than one character.

A seemingly safer method is running sleeper combat sites in groups for tags and salvage. This is also extremely lucrative.

PVE combat loot is divided evenly among the participants. Only one character per player will be paid. So if you have an alt helping, you do not get two shares. But you will get an attaboy and thank you for helping the op go smoother.

The reason for this is that you cannot run some sites by yourself, even if you have two characters. Since they are unable to be done solo the loot is divided evenly. If you do a combat site in a C4 or lower and are able to do it by yourself then you keep anything you reap from those sites. Again it is beneficial if you have more than one character.

PVP loot is divided based on who is participating, once the fleet reaches 10 or more, the corporation  will handle any major loot drops from PVP. Anything below that amount and its up to the group at hand. That means you can also make ISK killing all of the unnecessarily expensive ships players have in WH space.

Again, excluding members from PVP or PVE operations for any reason will not be tolerated.
-------------------------------------------
What ships do we fly in combat?
Rule of thumb in our group is fly what your are comfortable loosing in a pinch. Insidious Design  members traditionally bring the best fit ship they possibly can for a given situation, work closely with your mates to make sure that the over all fleet composition is solid. WE DO typically group into homogeneous tank types and all electronic warfare or logistics pilots are encouraged to fit electronic counter measures.

----------------------------
Is there currently a ship replacement program?

No. Although for some certain ship types the Corporation will attempt to provide zero-cost loaner ships if needed. Also for large invasion operations losses may be refunded out of the spoils we receive from a successful mission, This is entirely dependent on the pre-defined plan unique to each invasion operation.

Can I command a PVP or PVE operation?
YES! If its your first time don't be afraid to let your mates know that.

Is participation required?
No. However, you probably won't like it here unless you are proactive as well as a team player.

Can my friends join?
Yes. They are subject to the same minimum requirements as all other potential members.

Finally, be attentive, listen to how the veteran members do things, take note and don't be afraid to speak up if there is an issue you need help with. We are all friends here, even the new guys.
